Honda has taken a major step in India’s startup space with the launch of a new co-development program called Honda Innovation Challenge 1.0. The company has joined hands with T-Hub, one of India’s biggest startup incubators, to support young firms that work in mobility and digital technology. The initiative came through Honda Digital Innovation India, also known as HDII, which Honda recently set up in India.

The new program aims to bring startups and Honda together so they can create practical solutions for Indian roads and customers. Honda wants fresh ideas from Indian founders and tech experts who understand local problems and user needs. The company also plans to build smarter mobility systems for the future through this effort.

India Becomes a Key Market for Honda

The event took place at T-Hub’s Phase 2 campus in Hyderabad. Startup founders, Honda leaders, and technology experts joined the launch event. The program already received strong interest from the startup community across the country. More than 300 startups applied to become part of the first batch.

Four Startups Selected for the First Cohort

After a detailed review process, Honda and T-Hub selected four startups for the first cohort. These firms are XANE AI, Attento Technologies, AppTestify, and Sensight Technologies, also known as AutoWiz. Each startup works in a different area of technology and mobility. Honda believes these companies have the potential to solve real-world challenges through smart digital tools.

The selected startups will now enter a 60-day proof-of-concept phase. During this period, the firms will work closely with Honda teams. They will test their ideas, improve their products, and create solutions that fit Indian road conditions and customer habits.

Funding and Support for Startups

Honda will provide funding support of up to ₹10 lakh to each startup. The company will also give access to its engineers, strategy teams, business experts, and vehicle systems. This support can help startups build stronger products in less time.
