Bengaluru-based ride-hailing startup viaDOTS has set ambitious plans to onboard 50,000 taxi drivers by the first quarter of 2024. Within the initial two months of operations in Bengaluru, the company has successfully brought on board 5,000 drivers, signaling a rapid and positive response from the local driver community.

Driver-Focused Platform

viaDOTS distinguishes itself as a driver-focused ride-hailing service with a mission to acknowledge and empower drivers as the owners of their own businesses. The company aims to create a platform that fosters a sense of ownership and belonging among drivers, positioning them as integral partners in the success of the service.

The company has announced a fare structure that includes Mini at Rs 18/Km, Sedan at Rs 21/Km, SUV at Rs 30/Km, and Premium at Rs 40/Km. Notably, viaDOTS has assured riders that there will be no surge pricing, providing a consistent and predictable fare structure for users.

No Onboarding Fee

To further encourage driver participation, viaDOTS has announced that there will be no onboarding fee for drivers joining the platform. This move is designed to reduce barriers to entry for drivers and facilitate the swift onboarding of a large number of taxi professionals.

Future Plans and Vision

The company’s vision extends beyond the immediate onboarding goals, with plans to encourage millions of drivers in the next two years. ViaDOTS aims to provide personalized and seamless taxi experiences to millions of cab users in Bengaluru, establishing itself as a prominent player in the local ride-hailing market.

As viaDOTS takes strides toward achieving its ambitious onboarding targets and shaping a unique driver-focused platform, the startup aims to redefine the ride-hailing experience for both drivers and riders in Bengaluru.
