Training Bootcamp for European Startups
For the first time, Huawei organized a training bootcamp as part of its ambitious initiative to nurture 10,000 startups worldwide by 2025, with a specific goal of supporting 1,000 startups in Europe by 2027. The training bootcamp took place during the Global Peter Drucker Forum, providing a valuable platform for approximately 20 SMEs from Vienna and across Europe.
The annual Global Peter Drucker Forum is a prestigious event that brings together global business leaders and scholars to discuss best management practices. This year’s theme, “Creating Resilience – Leading in an age of discontinuity,” set the stage for insightful discussions on navigating the complexities of the modern business environment.
Insights from Huawei’s Senior Vice President
Radoslaw Kedzia, Senior Vice President of Huawei European Region, highlighted the significance of technology innovation, exemplified by Huawei Cloud AI Pangu model, and the evolution of management practices to adapt to a rapidly changing environment. He emphasized the importance of partnership building, including collaborations with SMEs, as essential steps in achieving resilience in the face of chaos.
The side workshop organized by Huawei and the Global Peter Drucker Forum featured interactive masterclasses covering practical skills such as hiring the right talent and perfecting product pitches. Participants had the opportunity to learn from distinguished business practitioners, including Carla Arellano, Partner at Greyhound Capital, and Professor Curt Carlson, Distinguished Executive in Residence at Worcester Polytechnic Institute.
Huawei’s Support for SMEs
Zhuang Fen, Director of Global Industry Development at Huawei Cloud Global Marketing and Sales Service, outlined Huawei’s commitment to enabling startups to unleash their global potential. This support includes dedicated technology assistance, joint marketing efforts, cloud services, customized cloud credits, and access to a vast global network and ecosystem.
The workshop showcased managers from tech firms that have previously benefited from collaborating with Huawei. Jonni Malacarne, CEO of Blue Tensor, highlighted their collaborative journey towards migrating on-premise platforms to Huawei Cloud, emphasizing scalability, security, and efficiency.

Wolfgang Lassl, Chief Strategy Officer at Global Peter Drucker Forum, expressed gratitude to Huawei for aligning with Peter Drucker’s vision.
