Anyplace, a company that specializes in short-term rentals for remote workers, has successfully raised $10.3 million in its series B funding round. This funding consisted of $8.3 million in equity and an additional $2 million in debt secured from Silicon Valley Bank. The round was led by Launch Fund and its founder, Jason Calacanis, and received support from CapitalX, Gaingels, Riverside Ventures, Potluck Ventures, MSIVC, FreakOut Shinsei Fund, Delight Ventures, as well as several individual investors. In total, Anyplace has now raised $18 million.
Headquartered in San Francisco, Anyplace offers fully furnished apartment rentals for a minimum of 30 days, with a focus on providing remote work setups that include high-speed internet. Currently, the company has properties in four major U.S. cities: San Francisco, New York City, Los Angeles, and San Diego. Anyplace is planning to expand to additional U.S. cities later this year and collaborates with real estate firms like Greystar, Avalon Bay, and UDR.

Lanes & Planes, a corporate travel and expense management platform, raised $35 million in its series B funding round. The leading investor was Smash Capital, with participation from Battery Ventures, Coparion, DN Capital, and AllIron. The Munich-based startup has now raised a total of $45 million. Lanes & Planes offers a platform for travel booking, approvals, and expense management while integrating with existing client software systems. The company has reported a more than ninefold increase in revenue since its founding in 2022.
It’s Good, a social media app for restaurant reviews co-founded by John Legend, secured $5 million in pre-seed funding led by Lightspeed Venture Partners.
Apartool, a corporate housing platform, successfully raised €5.5 million (approximately $5.8 million) in a series A funding round led by Roch Ventures and Barlon Capital. Additional support came from Finaves, Telegraph Hill Capital, Iberis Capital, and others. Based in Barcelona, Apartool provides furnished apartments to business travelers on trips lasting more than two weeks. The booking process is designed to be accessible to corporations and corporate travel agencies. The company’s clientele primarily consists of businesses in finance, consumer goods, and retail. Notable clients include Air Liquide, Endesa, FGC, Repsol, Siemens, and Yazaki. Apartool currently operates in Spain, France, Portugal, and Italy, with plans to expand into the UK and Germany. The company also has operations in Dubai, where it intends to further expand into the Middle East.
Tourhub, an online travel agency focused on multi-day tours, secured £1 million (approximately $1.2 million) from Waterspring Ventures and the Development Bank of Wales. Based in Wales, Tourhub provides travelers with a platform to compare various options and prices from over 800 suppliers worldwide. The startup plans to add more tour operators, river cruise lines, and expedition cruises to its platform. Tourhub also provides its content to other travel agents and publishers. The majority of its business comes from the U.S. and Canada, with plans to expand to Australia by the end of 2023.
